Social Worker for the Authority Unit for Children and Families

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Authority Unit for Children and Families is seeking a social worker to work with children and youth up to 21 years old and their parents. As a social worker, you will investigate the situation and needs of children and youth, make decisions, and follow up on approved interventions. If you enjoy being the "spider in the web," this job is for you.

The work is based on both SoL and LVU. The operations are led by group leaders and a unit manager. We work according to BBIC (children's needs in focus), and the goal is to conduct high-quality social work based on knowledge, continuity, participation, and a holistic perspective.

We can offer challenging and developing tasks within a supportive culture. The unit consists of a unit manager, 3 group leaders, and 25 social workers, of which 7 social workers and 1 group leader are within foster care, distributed among 3 foster care social workers and 4 child social workers.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a qualified social worker or have another education deemed equivalent for authority work concerning children and youth. It is an advantage if you have experience working with authority tasks within the target group of children and youth. You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You have the ability to analyze complex problems, see the long-term significance of issues and their consequences, and adapt your actions accordingly. You see opportunities in changes and contribute new ideas and approaches to work-related matters. You view the operations from a holistic perspective, can connect the whole and parts, future and present. We want you to be able to take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You also have the ability to structure your work independently and prioritize among the tasks to be performed by focusing on the right things when there is a lot happening around you.

We are looking for someone who listens, communicates, and resolves conflicts constructively. You have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over their feelings, and you need to be calm and stable while showing courage in difficult situations.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
